Description

A vault of gold cradling the stone

The glow of 18K yellow gold, warm as late afternoon sun, is the soul of this ring, where the diamond is lifted by a full arch. From either side, the shoulders curve upward like two spans of a bridge meeting at the head of the ring, raising a round diamond of approx. 5.7 mm in diameter, with a row of small stones along each span leading the light to the summit.

Arched shoulders lift a four-prong center diamond, with a row of side stones set along each side on a base of 18K yellow gold.

A four-prong diamond

A natural round diamond of approx. 0.70 ct sits on four gold prongs, their warm tone making the white of the stone stand out more clearly.

Twelve shoulder stones

Twelve diamonds of approx. 1.2 mm, approx. 0.07 ct in total, are set along both arched shoulders on a base of 18K yellow gold.

An arch that lifts the stone

The setting rises approx. 5.4 mm above the surface of the band, and the arched shoulders support the stone as firmly as the vault of a bridge.

Craftsmanship

From approx. 3.9 g of 18K yellow gold, the band is cast as a single piece and the two arched shoulders are shaped by hand. The setter places the center stone and twelve side stones under magnification, then polishes the ring.
